What is the clean Kernel file download on 4.7 and 4.8?

I'm using VIX 2.4 with Kernel 3.3 now, can I flash HDFreaks 4.7 or 4.8? Does it matter which kernel? Can I switch back and forth between different Kernel versions?

I want to use this image (4.8), but I want to avoid the NTFS problem with kernel 3.3. If I flash 4.8, and I want to avoid the new kernel 3.3 (NTFS problem) should I use the HDF and PLI updaters in the image? Will these updates automatically update the kernel? The NTFS problem only started from 4.9, correct?

Does Coolman 5.6 support Autotimers? Do you have screenshots of these? I searched this forum, but not many English threads about CoolTVGuide.

The Autotimers on VIX image are not user friendly and sometimes do not record.

So I can use HDF 4.9 and I won't loose any movies/recordings on my hard disk?? The NTFS bug is fixed?

Do I need to use any Telnet commands for HDFreaks 4.9 to read/mount my hard disk? Or just flash and update?

Flash the image 4.9.2 and boot. Then make an PLi and Spinnerupdate and reboot your box.

In 4.9.2 you can use the device manager in menü - settings to mount your devices ... without any telnet commands.

Can I flash 4.9.3 or only 4.9.2 to install updates for NTFS fix?

I have one question, how do I get Coolman Tv Guide to get EPG info from CrossEPG? The EPG isn't getting populated for 28.2E?? Only Free to Air.

Got it fixed, didn't select Rytec.

Can I choose different source for Coolman? Maybe CrossEPG or OpenTV?
