      Hello guys,

      I'm stuck at the 4.6, but I'm quite happy with the stability and the functionality of the image (I was trying several images, but yours is the best to me).

      Could you give me a simple clarification, how big difference can I see, if I go for the next one (4.7) please?
      Can I see something new, even if I just go for the full upgrade of the soft into 4.6?

      I'm sick of flashing of my box every time with the new release of the image, updating my settings, updating few configs etc.
      I have recon few days ago about the new XTREND v5, which gives that nice option to update new releases without flashing from the stick.

      Or maybe, am I able to upgrade my box to 4.7, then take all stuff from the 4.6 (settings, configs) just with "simple click" ?

      Any help?

    • You can use your 4.6 again and do simple a PLi and Spinner Update in HDF-Toolbox.
      And dont forget to update also the HDF-Toolbox for fixes and new features.

      The release 4.7 is interesting for users with a new box and fur users that would have a clean new image.
      Ok there is some manuell fixes in image 4.7 eg EnhancedMovieCenter but you can do this yourself.

      But you have the possibility to backup you settings in HDF-Toolbox in point "Image Tools".
      Also the is a plugin called "AutoBackup". Its from PLi team. You can edit the configfile under /etc/backup.cfg.
      After start this plugin you can found your backup under /hdd/backup/.
      This backup is autmatically reinstalled from the plugin if you flash a new image.

      I went exactly through the process, which you've described above (the full upgrade of soft and the pannel).
      It went smoothly.
      I'm just curious (maybe nobody has reported that issue, or maybe my image has a special behaviour with that): does the 4.7 resolve the problem with mount of network drives (nfs, cifs) over the gui browser?
      Until now, I have to fix my fstab manually, to attach my NAS to the box.
