maxiuboot and original firmware

hi there,

i have maxiuboot in my box and i replaced e2 in flash with my already saved original "img" file which is 1.09.61

with the option "flash original image" in ART program

now , is it possible to use any ird file to update firmware or do i also need to change the bootloader with

original one?

(box is 1008hd )

Hi,

in many cases there is no need to install the original bootloader but it is more secure if you use plugins. I use the original loader too for updates (since firmware V10920 because of bigger *.ird files) and the installation is very easy by Eisha's HDF Flasher V254 07 plugin. Good luck!

thanks for the quick answer

my box is octagon 1008 equivalent and hdflasher does not support it so, for me it is

not possible to restore the original bootloder.

have you ever tried to upgrade original firmware (ird file) while you have maxiuboot

in bootloader?

Hi,

in the past there was no problem to update firmware with the maxiuboot loader, but it is more savely to use the original loader since the firmware 10920. Our member FSC830 updated newer firmware with maxiuboot and there was no problem, because he did not use any plugin. Please clear all plugins (green button of the remote control) and try it yourself.
