If I write either root or password in putty, again the password is required, but cannot be written.
In DCC, nothing can be written after root and password are pre-written.
Help appreciated.

Set the password via:
Menü -> Einstellungen -> System -> Netzwerk-Einstellungen -> Passwort-Einstellungen
Thereafter you can access the box via SSH and OpenWebIf. -
I have set the password as per cricriat, in my case hitube4k: no way.
I cannot access the box via putty (telnet or SSH ) or by DCC; FTP OK, but useless for my goal-
Another strange thing is that access to Hitube from PC is possible only entering the password, which is not needed for other boxes (Gblue, Dreambox DM900 etc.) -
I assume you have OpenHDF 6.5 flashed on your hitube 4K box.
Since OpenHDF 6.5 it is necessary to have a password set.
If you have a password set as described, then you can connect to your box via SSH (putty).
Please post screenshots of error messages occuring while connecting to your box.
Describe all things you do in detail.

Sorry I cannot: after writing "root", writing the password is inhibited

What do you mean by "inhibited" ?
The password will not be "echoed", you won't see the characters of the password as you type it,
you have to type it blindly (don't mistype it) and after the password press Enter.
Now you are logged in as root to your box. -
Lan cable was connected besides internal wifi, so:
1. I disconnected LAN cable
2. Restarted
3. Opened Putty telnet option
4. Wrote password (even not legible!)
After giving OK, finally next operations could be possible!

Additional hint for the future:
Since you are already using putty, please get used to use the putty SSH option wherever possible
(as well as without putty).
Telnet is an anachronism (very, very unsecure).
