Hi, I do have a OpenWEBIF request. Could you add the feature to do a cable scan from there? Then I don't have to do this on the receiver, but could also do this from OpenWEBIF.

You can do this also in Webif.
Take the Remotecontrol in Webinterface to do cablescan, as in same way on receiver.____
