video mode problem

Dear developers or experts!

after an usual monthly update && upgrade the video mode changing absolutely does not work more. when i push the v-size button the system write the change on osd but nothing happen. i try change the system settings offcoz in A/V settings but nothing happen too. i know that lame, but i use an old big CRT with 4:3 scale with SCART and this problem is very annoying to me. i tried reinstal/downgrade to older odinm7 but only fresh images on this site. is this direct bug in the new versions or what? please fix this problem asap or tell me what can i do!

yes, i tried offcoz and works good, but when i upgrade from this very old version the box freeze during download and install (linux rulez)

i think the optibox hw is weak to a massive upgrade. maybe memo not enough

btw last months box worked still fine. i saw on your development history about Feb 23, 2014 you modded some A/V stufz. maybe this is the bug, but i'm not a coder unfortunately :golly:

sorry pal! i don't blame on you. this was my first idea what may the bug . i think the VideoMode.py is tha monsta. :thinking:

if i can try an image before this mod -4 example a january version- i could be report

WE dont have this old image, it needs a lot of space.
But this commit cannot be the Problem.
You can try to change the settings in webinterface.

well, my investigation finally succeeded

the problem is deeper than i thought. the video size mode bug is in the core driver of odinm7. exactly in the dvb.ko modul! location "/lib/modules/3.6.0/extra/" 20131001 driver is good but the 20140218 and latest 20140314 driver is bad in my case. so the late february update was my suck :cursing:

i found some info here and here. unfortunately i see the Hardware driver LICENSE is CLOSED and i don't know now who and where is the concrete developer of this file. i hope that this is a lame bug not an intentional back development :whistling:

so please report this to the competent coder or tell me where do I go to cry!

I'm sure this is reportant, but i'm not sure if there anyone developing new drivers.

i think that no need developing an entirely new drivers. the main point is that putting back the good old functions. i don't know why must srcewing up a good hw driver basically? :pillepalle:
