I use it in a NHD2-Image with automount.

    • Thanx for the link/help, Thomas! That's appreciated.

HND2 is way better than MP, for sure, as it is not restricted in that silly manner, from tuner onwards!

      MOUNTING VIA HOME NETWORK:

This morning I played with fstab mounting. It didn't work with nfs, at first. Then, I added /volume1 (before the shared folder itself) and rebooted. WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!! :allesgute: That's much better than via Neutrino's folder mounting, I assure you - which needs looking into...

      AUDIO-VISUAL PART:

Passthrough gives great results in audio terms!!! I have Panasonic Home Theatre with JBL speakers (3 in front) and JPW rear monitors - fabulous!

DVD Player, sadly, does not open a whole folder but one must add one file at the time, which could and should be improved. Media Centre in Mips and Sigma processor STBs can do it, so Neutrino can, too.

Couldn't find a way to get the subtitles in DVDs. Is it possible?

Sadly, the Media Player itself is limited, too - in terms of codecs/formats it will play. From both my NAS and laptop Star Trek Deep Space Nine.avi files do not show any image, sadly... Codec: MS MPEG-4 Video v3 (DIV3). Can gstreamer (or whatever is used in Neutrino) be updated, please?

      SAT TV PART:

I sent an E2 modified channels list (DreamSet is the tool for the purpose but it must be properly configured for this, choosing the correct format [Neutrino Plus api v.3] and adding the satellite positions in the correct format, i.e. 192 for Astra1 and 130 for HB). Tick the "Do not send the reload command after the transfer" as it does not work, like in E2. Oh, I also removed the tick in "passive mode only" option. Reboot NHD manually.

Before I rebooted, I sent the emus and config file via FTP (File Zilla Client), gave 755 to modules (modules path is /var/emu and config files /var/keys).

Having rebooted, I notice that in my list - which is generally good and as it should be - many channels are "not available" for some reason.... Rebooted several times until it booted properly. Still, instead of the chosen TV Globo Brazilian channel what comes up is HRT1, which is nuts... :D

SD channels are great, in CS, $ly IT is going great, better than on my Ferrari500HD!

      HD CHANNELS PROBLEM ON 13E

Now, my colleagues stated that in their Neutrino tests HD channels have caused complete freezes and that is why they moved back to E2, else they would have used Neutrino. Let's see if.... Ooopppssss.... $ly IT HD channels are murder - constant reboots and freezes... Something needs to be done here... Perhaps you guys need another LNB? Or a guy who can code and who already has that LNB on 13E... ;)

OK, Ymod 39 does not work with keys in my case... Don't know why, must investigate. Can we have a slightly different, a more discerning script in plugins, which can detect what we installed, so we can have various versions of OSCam, as some open certain stuff but not other channels and vice versa...

It all went bonkers, in my list - I choose a channel and get the previous channel - can't change it...

I think I need to reinstall... Good going, so far!!! :thx:

I believe this is the best format for Synology:

      Quellcode

      1. 192.168.x.x:/volume1/video /mnt/nfs/films nfs rw,tcp,wsize=32768,rsize=32768 0 0

For Windows7 CIFS, sharing without username/password:

      Quellcode

      1. //192.168.x.x\\Videos /mnt/hdd/Bvid cifs rw,tcp,wsize=32768,rsize=32768,user=,pass= 0 0

It just works in NHD2! :danke:
    • OK, second installation from scratch - just to make sure... - now, let's see...

Really good and fast opening a channel with various OSCams.... This time it worked for a while on HD channels (Primafila) before it crashed (Shutdown or reboot). But once it started crashing - real problems on $ly IT, sadly... But I think it is my main peer, who is possibly doing some work on his server...

Sometimes stuck on HRT2, for no reason, as other HRT channels are fine. Reboots seem to screw up some thing occasionally and then one can see some problems...

Not working with keys on TV Globo - is there a new key, I wonder... Must check... Nope, old but not working...

      Btw, I would
love to be able to "record" all those little or bigger bugs for you but how do I get the log
running, in NHD2, please? Init 4 and enigma2 in E2 - but Neutrino?

init 4 and neutrino tried aaaandddd....

This command froze my box... Restart at the back!
    • So, let's see what have I missed the first time...?

      I asked last time:
P.S. Any chance of fstab syntax to mount NFS and CIFS shared folders that way, please?
      And the response was:
i think this not the right way to get network devices mounted, better is
to use automount as far neutrino network mount manager can't do this
      correctlly

      @DBO:

is automount built in the image?
I do not see it. And even if it was I would have preferred a good device
manager. Imagine, for instance, 2 partitions on a USB stick and an HDD - how do you do it? I know
in PBNIGMA, it's a piece of cake but automount?

      So, the questions:
      @gorsky:

not sure but i have some doubt why this can't work, can u plz check after new start

      - cat /proc/filesystems

      - try to mount any network device

      - again cat /proc/filesystems
I think I will pass on this one, as fstab editing does the job stably and perfectly! Stibbich from PB Team doesn't like this but I can see how in a situation like this it is perfectly acceptable, with all due respect to the master...

I can't delete whole satellite positions via remote. Can that be remedied, please? In other flavours of Neutrino I saw "Erase all channels" function. This is sometimes very useful.
and now back to usefull functions of enigma2 and neutrino:

      - i have on my mipsel box (Gigablue800HD) both GUI running:

enigma2 and neutrino (NHD2) and often i get frustration when i change to
enigma2 (i do this just to borrow some stuff from enigma2 to neutrino
      ;)

      - DVB

i'm cable user (unity media provider)

-TV/Radio: i can enjoy this only when i use neutrino :D with e2 i have oft channel faild (sid not found in PAT).

      -epg/epgplus

      -teletext/dvbsubs/recording/timeshift: is same

only sometimes when playing timeshift/records i have some probs while
i'm using gst player also for ts files e2 is using internal player (dvr)

      -radiotext/rass

-pip (not implemtend in nhd2) drivers of my both boxes cant do this sadly ;(

-overlapping recording (not implemented in NHD2) NMP can do this.

-online software update neutrino can this also

-plugins/games there is a lot usefull plugins/games for neutrino (weather, etc...)

      etc...
Yes, lots of little and big jobs for you, guys, bringing Neutrino to full functionality, aren't there?

Some advantages to Neutrino but not many, especially if one is not "just Astra 19E user"...
      MEDIA:

      -ts/movie player like in e2

      -picviewer

      -audioplayer

      -internetradio

      -upnp browser

      -yt player

      -webtv

      etc...
      Lots
of these are not working or working partially, missing codecs or
functionality, like in DVD not being able to choose properly which part
      of a DVD to watch...
the main difference is e2 use skin and easy api for plugins and neutrino not.
Is this why we have very, very few plugins/tools for Neutrino?
PS: can u plz reorder the bugs from your test for NMP and NHD2 ;)
I beg your pardon? What exactly do you have in mind and why, please?

    • Sure.... :)

      Try this : spark7162_DUAL_g5905_HALe_r455_NMPe_r5564_NHD2e_r1561_flash.zip

It contains both Neutrinos ( NMP, NHD2 ) > simple switching via script ( blue > plugins or blue > scripts )
All new features are integrated : YouTube Player, Making Filmcover while playing *.ts with REC button ( press pause for Speed this up ), web-if streaeming and simultanous looking and switching others on live-tv.....
