The CVBS option is for VIDEO from scart and has nothing to do with the audio. I use HDMI cable for video and scart adapter to RCA stereo output for audio.

Tried different LX2 boxes today with the same problem. Very noisy and even you can hear some bump when you push buttons on remote control. I've changed the LX2 with LX1 and, LX1 has scart and it has the same problem but, not so obvious. The noise it's there but, somehow a lite bit lower than LX2. So... that's it Let's hope that LX3 it will have a better testing team.

LX1 or LX3 has the same issue ?!?! I want to know if can change the LX2 with some of the others...

Googgi, with all respect, this box it has a digital to analog audio decoder inside, as all audio devices in 2014, that's why it's having a scart output. Maybe, I'm part of a minority but, it's not me who put scart on this box, it's GoldenInterstar, so I expect to work well. I agree that on HDMI output the sound it's ok but, for me, it's important to listen radio on my expensive HIFI stereo amplifier without having TV on. I can't live with that noisy sound and the only solution for this "known bug" is to be solved by GoldenInterstar, not by me. This should be so embarrassing for a "German" company, as the logo suggest on front panel !!! We live in the 2014 not in 1960 to have AM-radio quality with 2 transistors... Hi, I have a problem with my lx2. The output sound via scart does't work well. It is necessary to put high volume to hear something and the noise even without high volume, even when the mute it's activated. This is very annoying and as I usually use my stereo amp it makes impossible to use my lx2 with pleasure. I don't need advise like change stereo amp or use tv audio out.
